REHMAT EDUCATION AND EMPOWERMENT

In Pakistan, 26.2 million children are out of school, making the country the second highest in the world facing this crisis. Over 13 million children are pushed into child labour, often working in hazardous environments that harm their health and future, fuelling cycles of poverty and exploitation. An estimated 1.5 million street-connected children also facee abuse, neglect, and lack of access to education and healthcare, leaving them vulnerable to unsafe work or crime for survival.

Rehmat Education and Empowerment is a charitable organisation dedicated to educating Pakistan’s most vulnerable children. We provide quality learning and life-changing skills training for street children and child-labour survivors in underserved communities. We work in partnership with Rehmat Educational Foundation (UK) and implement our programmes through Rehmat School—creating safe pathways out of poverty and helping children transition into mainstream society.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower out-of-school children—including street children and those trapped in child labour— through education and skills training, breaking the cycle of poverty and helping them build dignified, hopeful futures.

Our vision

Our vision is a society where every child has the chance to learn, dream, and rise above poverty with dignity and hope.

OUR APPROACH
Giving Every Child a Chance to Learn
Removing Barriers to Education for Every Child

No child should have to choose between survival and education. Yet in Pakistan, many street children and those trapped in child labour never see the inside of a classroom. At Rehmat Education and Empowerment, we are committed to changing that.

We remove the barriers that keep vulnerable children out of school. By meeting children’s educational, nutritional, and medical needs—and by supporting their families—we create an environment where learning becomes possible and sustainable. Our approach gives every child a chance not just to attend school, we empower them with education, skills, and hope.

Free uniforms, shoes, school bags, and supplies so every child can walk into the classroom with dignity.
A daily stipend so parents no longer have to choose between sending their child to school and feeding their family
A warm, nourishing meal every day ensuring hunger is never a barrier to learning.
Medical check-ups and treatment for children with no access to healthcare

OUR MODEL
Educational Solutions for Multi-Age Learners
  • Accelerated Curriculum
  • Digital Delivery System
  • Skills Training

Our Accelerated Literacy Programmes help out-of-school children catch up quickly from primary to elementary levels (grades 1–8) in 3 years through technology-driven, curriculum-aligned lessons. Tailored for multi-age learners, the programme uses video lessons, teacher guides, and continuous assessments to ensure every child builds strong literacy skills and progresses effectively. The curriculum aligns with the Single National Curriculum (SNC) and is developed in collaboration with TAKMIL Foundation and JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency). The programme combines quality content with practical support to give every child the chance to succeed.
