Rehmat School is a community-based learning centre established to provide free, quality education and skills training to street-connected children and those engaged in child labour in deprived areas of Pakistan. Located in Ahmed Pur East, District Bahawalpur, the school offers a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where vulnerable children are given a second chance at learning and life.
Through structured education, accelerated literacy programmes, and practical life-skills training, Rehmat School helps children overcome learning gaps, build confidence, and develop pathways out of poverty. By removing barriers such as cost, hunger, lack of uniforms, and poor access to healthcare, the school ensures that every child can attend, learn, and thrive.
Rehmat School is committed to transforming lives through education, empowering children to break the cycle of poverty and become active, self-reliant members of society.
Rehmat School follows a holistic approach that nurtures academic learning alongside personal growth, wellbeing, and life skills. We create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where vulnerable children develop confidence, discipline, values, and social skills needed to thrive and reintegrate into mainstream society.
Our Accelerated Literacy Programme helps out-of-school children catch up from Grades 1–8 in just three years. Using technology-driven, curriculum-aligned lessons tailored for multi age learners, the programme builds strong literacy foundations and aligns with Pakistan’s Single National Curriculum (SNC).
To remove barriers to learning, Rehmat School provides free books, stationery, uniforms, shoes, and learning materials. By meeting these essential needs, we ensure children can attend school regularly, learn with dignity, and focus fully on their education without financial pressure on families.
Many students come from families who struggle to afford food. Rehmat School provides a warm, nutritious meal every day to meet basic nutritional needs and support children’s health and regular school attendance. Proper nutrition helps children learn better, grow stronger, and stay motivated in the classroom.
We provide stipends to families who previously relied on their child’s income from labour. This financial support helps compensate for lost earnings and encourages families to keep their children in school, protecting them from returning to child labour.
Our school library promotes a culture of reading, curiosity, and independent learning. Students have access to age-appropriate books that support literacy development, imagination, and academic growth, helping them build strong reading habits and lifelong learning skills.
Rehmat School regularly organises sports and literary events to give underprivileged children a platform to discover their talents and build confidence. These activities promote teamwork and self-expression, while offering joyful, inclusive experiences that many children were previously denied due to poverty and child labour.
We provide basic healthcare support, medical check-ups, and access to essential treatment to ensure health issues do not interrupt learning. By addressing physical wellbeing, Rehmat School helps children stay healthy, attend school consistently, and reach their full potential.
On special occasions such as Eid, Rehmat School provides gifts, clothes, and essentials to deprived students. These moments bring joy, dignity, and inclusion, ensuring children feel valued, celebrated, and part of a caring school community.
